Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

Short version: Eclipsed doesn't collect anything. Your sleep data stays on your phone. There are no accounts, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.

What Eclipsed reads

With your permission, Eclipsed reads sleep records from Apple's Health app on your iPhone. Specifically, it reads sleep analysis records — start and end times of sleep sessions, plus the sleep stage if your device records one. It does not read any other Health category.

Where that data lives

Sleep records are processed entirely on your device. Eclipsed computes your debt, stores the result in a local database on your phone, and displays it. Nothing is uploaded to any server. There is no Eclipsed account because there is nowhere for an account to live.

What we do not do

This website

eclipsedsleep.com uses Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible counts page views and referrers in aggregate. It does not identify you.

HealthKit specifics

Per Apple's HealthKit policies: Eclipsed only requests read access to sleep data. We do not write to HealthKit. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing. We do not share HealthKit data with any third party. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Eclipsed.

Children

Eclipsed isn't directed at children under 13 and isn't intended for their use. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone — children included.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
